Colognole

Colognole is a fraction of common Collesalvetti in the province of Livorno. The country should have Roman origins as the name should come from the Latin Coloniola. During the Middle Ages some documents testify to the presence of a castle that no longer exists on a site beyond the parish church. The most interesting monuments in the territory is the Aqueduct Leopoldino, also known as Aqueduct of Colognole.
